England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

We stopped next in West Tanfield when we noticed these unusual towers sitting behind the local church beside the River Ure. It turned out to be St Nicholas Church that was fully restored in 1859 but some stonework from the church on this site in the 1100's still exists today.
